Armstrong Garden Centers invites California gardeners of all skill levels to its free upcoming classes this August. Subjects for each class behold a bevy of waterwise topics, including how to attract butterflies and hummingbirds, gardening with succulents and the principles of firescaping.

Armstrong Garden Centers’ scheduled workshops for August 2015

Saturday, August 1, 9:00 a.m. – Attracting Hummingbirds and Butterflies with Waterwise Plants – Learn tips and techniques along with which waterwise flowering plants to grow that attract these beautiful garden guests.

Saturday, August 8, 9:00 a.m. – Gardening with Succulents and Cacti – Waterwise succulents and cacti are some of the easiest plants to grow. Armstrong experts will give you tips to keep them healthy, happy and beautiful.

Saturday, August 22, 9:00 a.m. – Firescaping with Waterwise Plants – Learn the basic principles for designing a firescape for your home, including plant suggestions.

Each class will be instructed by a nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Advance registration is not required to attend. Classes are open to gardeners of all levels. Armstrong Garden Centers offers free garden talks from its team of experts for local garden clubs, homeowners associations and other community groups.
