Community Gardening Classes: Your Path to Having a Green Thumb

How would you like to be able to relate to your plants in a way that will show them the kind of love they need to stay green, healthy, and prosperous? Not everyone was born with a green thumb, and some of us might need some serious help. Whatever your level of greenness may be, everyone can benefit with some more training when it comes to taking care of those plants.

Armstrong Garden Centers wants gardeners of all skill levels to attend their upcoming community gardening classes. Each workshop will have attendees to nurturing the greenness of their thumbs with a range of topics for the end of the chilly season. These classes will be held at all 31 Armstrong Garden Center stores throughout California, and, of course, our local center right here in Pasadena.

Want to grow your own produce? Then attend the Homegrown Produce class on Saturday, April 7 at 8:00 a.m. at Armstrong Garden Centers, and get the tips you need to grow some great garden crops for your table this summer.

Do you like ladybugs, and did you know they are the #1 organic pest control for your garden? All Day: Friday, April 20; Saturday, April 21 & Sunday, April 22 is Ladybug Weekend at Armstrong Garden Centers, and you will get one free pack of ladybugs with purchase on those dates. Take ‘em home, and install this great plant saver into your home garden.

If you like organic gardening, then you will want to attend the class offered on Sunday, April 22 at 9:00 a.m. at Armstrong Garden Centers and get those tips on soil health and solving garden problems using only organic gardening methods.

Lastly, if you like container gardening, and would like some good tips and techniques for creating a colorful, stylish container garden using a variety of flowers and foliage for a great combination of colors, textures and shapes, then attend the class offered on Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. at Armstrong Garden Centers.

Each class is instructed by a professional in the field who will offer some great gardening advice, and give real life, hands-on, demonstrations so that you too can turn your thumb green this growing season. Make your plants, happy plants, and attend the classes so you know how to love them properly.
