Pasadena Shelter Seeks Home for Abandoned Three Legged Kitty for a Meowy Christmas
Pasadena Humane Society is treating cat for its injuries and is hopeful for full recovery

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA (PHS) is seeking a permanent home for a three legged kitty that was abandoned in Pasadena. The shelter received a call from concerned citizen reporting a cat with a visibly broken front leg in the vicinity of Green St. at Oakland Ave.
PHS animal control officers arrived quickly on the scene to find a cat with a serious injury. Despite the painful exposed fracture to its right front leg, the cat limped over to our animal control officers as if he knew help had arrived.
Back at the shelter, the veterinary team jumped into action. A thorough examination, revealed a double fracture in his right front leg. The cat has likely been suffering for days or weeks, as the injury appears to have happened some time ago. It is unclear if the injuries were accidental or deliberate.
The cat, now affectionately named Armstrong, underwent surgery to amputate his leg earlier this week. He will recover in foster care for the next two weeks.
“Our veterinarian expects Armstrong will make a full recovery barring any complications,” says Julie Bank, President/CEO of the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA. “He is a friendly cat who we hope will be adopted quickly once he recovers from his injuries.”
Thanks to the good samartian who tipped us off to Armstrong’s whereabouts, PHS saved him from an uncertain future. As the weather begins to cool this holiday season, PHS is always ready to rescue animals from the streets and open its doors to any animal in need.
