Pets of the Week at the Pasadena Humane Society

Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:

Augustine (A398279) is a fun-loving 7-year-old, neutered male Catahoula/Pit Bull mix. Augustine came to PHS underweight, but with consistent meals and a lot of love, he’s now back to a healthy size. Augustine has a goofball personality that has endeared him to staff and volunteers. Out on the PHS Mobile Unit, he gets along well with dogs of all sizes, but has a special fondness for Lily (A400517), a 3 year-old-pit bull.

The adoption fee for dogs is $125, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and vaccinations. Augustine qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program, which waives the adoption fee for adopters age 60 and over. The mandatory $20 microchip fee still applies.

Adopt Augustine and all other available pets for just $20 on Saturday, July 23, during the Clear the Shelters adoption event. Regular adoption screening applies.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Shelly (A394603) is a sweet 1-year-old, black and white, spayed female shorthair cat. This affectionate gal first arrived at PHS at the end of March and soon gave birth to kittens. She raised her kittens in a foster home and has since returned to the shelter for adoption. Her foster mom reports that Shelly is a bit shy with new people, but once she gets to know you, she head bumps, rubs, purr and “makes biscuits” when she is happy. Shelly is currently available for adoption at Pet Food Express in Pasadena.

The adoption fee for cats is $70 (or two for $85), which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and vaccinations.
