Pets of the Week at the Pasadena Humane Society
Monday, February 6, 2017
Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:
Meet handsome Oscar (A411125), an 8-year-old, neutered male, longhair black kitty. While Oscar has the looks of a model, he would prefer to be a professional lap warmer. Our volunteers report that Oscar craves attention and absolutely adores being petted. As soon as you meet him, he starts affectionately purring and head bumping. He qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program, reducing his adoption fee to just $20 for adopters age 60 and up. Oscar is available for adoption at Pet Food Express, 320 S Lake Ave, Pasadena.
The adoption fee for cats is $70, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and vaccinations.
New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A411125, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. Directions and photos of all pets can be found at pasadenahumane.org.
Cody (A411530) is an 11-year-old, neutered male, tan Labrador retriever mix. This sweet dog ended up in the shelter after his owner sadly passed away, and he’s now looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. Cody loves affection. Whether he’s being petted or cuddling in a volunteer’s lap, Cody adores spending time with people of all ages. Smart as a whistle, he’s more than happy to show off his mastery of sit, stay or down for a treat! Cody qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program, so his adoption fee is just $20 for adopters age 60 and up.
