Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:

Are you looking for an active, playful pup? Meet Kayla (A428755), a 3-year-old terrier mix eager to find her forever home. Kayla loves all toys—from balls, plush toys, ropes and rubber bones—she’ll happily play away the day. The young dog is one smart cookie! She’s earned her Blue Ribbon, which means she knows her sit, down and stay commands. Kayla is a regular out with our Wiggle Waggle Wagon. She loves to greet people of all ages. If you are looking for your next hiking buddy, consider Kayla.

The adoption fee for dogs is $130. The adoption fee for Blue Ribbon dogs like Kayla is $100. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before going to their new home.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A428755, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. Directions and photos of all pets can be found at pasadenahumane.org.

Candy (A429979), a 12-year-old, dilute calico cat, enjoys a good head scratch. She’s currently living in our communal room with other cats, but does prefer to have her own personal space. This affectionate gal stands to lose a few pounds and is looking for an adopter who will work with their veterinarian to get Candy on a healthy eating plan. Candy qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program where an adopter aged 60 or over can adopt a pet age five and older free of charge.

The adoption fee for cats is $75. All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted. Candy qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program, making her adoption free for adopters 60 and over.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
