Pets of the Week at the Pasadena Humane Society

Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:

Elton (A470853) is a goofy, playful, affectionate 3-year-old. To get to know him a little, we asked him what his favorite thing was about last week. Was it the time volunteers came around with Kongs, or the Frisbees with peanut butter? Was it when a staff member gave him a few extra dog treats? He said even though the treats were delicious, his favorite day was when he went on a field trip with two volunteers. He first accompanied them on a hike where he liked the exercise and rolling in the grass. He then escorted his volunteer friends to lunch at an outdoor restaurant and met a few friendly employees who gave him some treats and pets. He said he was so thankful for their attention that he licked their faces and they laughed! To end the day, he hung out with the volunteers in one of their homes and got to romp around the backyard, lay on couches, and chew toys! When he returned, he said he’d love to go on a trip like that again. We hope to give him one better. If you’re interested in giving this goofy pup a forever home so you can go on countless adventures, visit the Pasadena Humane Society and ask to meet Elton.

The adoption fee for dogs is $140. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before going to their new home.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Josie (A473564) is a cool cat that has yet to be impressed by us hoomans. We’ve wined and dined her, presented her with gifts galore and even performed our brilliant song and dance numbers, but nothing has captured her attention! One of her den neighbors, told his friend, who told PHS staff that she is of royal descent. Josie is a gorgeous, elegant feline, but the royalty rumor has not been substantiated. We do know that she’s 6 years old, truly a beauty, but definitely not the cat to get the party started. Our shy “Royal” Josie needs a best friend she can trust and a peaceful forever home. Note: new home need not be a castle.
