How to Know You Need to Call a Plumber

Keithley Plumbing 12-2-2015Some ways we know to call a plumber are pretty obvious. If you walk into your basement and there is a foot of water on the ground you need to call a plumber. If you turn on your sink and the faucet flies up and sticks in the ceiling (as water is squirting everywhere) then you need to call a plumber. What about when it is not so obvious?

When your bathtub starts draining slowly then it is time to call a plumber. The longer you wait the worse it will get. Standing in the shower with water pooling at your ankles is pretty icky so call a plumber before you get to that point. They can unclog your shower and verify that there is not an even bigger problem lurking behind the wall.

Do you have a dripping faucet? Dripping faucets can drive you insane. Drip. Drip. Drip. They can also run up your water bill. I know. I had a water bill double over the summer from a drip. If you have a drip, get the plumber out right away to keep your money from flowing down the drain.

Clogged toilets are a nightmare. When the plunger is not doing its job then you need to call a professional. They can unclog your commode as well as check for any bigger issues sneaking around in your sewer.
